On the 14th of June Sarah met with the CCG lead on the IMH surgeries to find out when the service is going to get better. The CCG lead said she recognised that people are not going to let this issue go until service improves.
She also committed to digging into every detail of the IMH ‘account’ to find out what has gone wrong. I have said that the public will want to understand this, and understand who is accountable for the problems over the last 9 months.
Sarah has been promised that the priority is the phone line: getting through and not getting cut off. Keep in touch on this issue as I’m not convinced those improvements are coming through yet.
Sarah has also been promised that no private company will come in to replace IMH but that solutions will be found within local NHS organisations.
This is encouraging, but so have all the promises of the past been. The CCG AGM is 18th July which is open to the public- Sarah will be attending, and by then there should be some answers. If you have any points you wish to raise, and can’t attend, please feel free to email Sarah: sarah@sarahchurch.org
