Sarah’s top priorities as a Borough Councillor will be improving Cavendish Square and fighting for improved services for children and young people in our community.
Sarah was a soldier for 13 years before leaving the Army in 2015. Since then she has been working and volunteering across Swindon, including at Swindon Restore before it closed and working with veterans with the Royal British Legion.
She led the Save Swindon’s Libraries campaign in 2016 which ensured that Park Library could stay open.
During her time as a Parliamentary Candidate, Sarah has worked very closely with residents in Liden, Eldene and Park South on a variety of issues, and residents know that something will be done when they get in touch. At the current time, she is working to deal with environmental health, housing and planning enforcement concerns, as well as bus services and flood preparations.
Sarah and Swindon’s Labour councillors kept the Coate Water Splash Park open and opposed development on Oldlands Walk. Sarah led the campaign against IMH, the company running Eldene Surgery who caused chaos on the phone lines. After many months of meetings and campaigning, Sarah was pleased to see IMH leave Swindon.
If you want someone you can get hold of and rely on to get things done, please support Sarah to be your Borough Councillor in Liden, Eldene and Park South.
